Pacenote v0.5.32
Your Macs hand Pace over once, not back and forth, and the first connection waits quietly instead of showing an error.
brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenoteYour Macs
- One handover, not many. A Mac that had stood by for a while and then took over could be passed over at once as stalled, so the two Macs took Pace back and forth until its Slack connection opened. A Mac now counts as stalled only after it has held Pace a minute without connecting, and a Mac that just took Pace waits 15 seconds before taking it again by itself. Answer here still moves it at once.
- The first connection waits instead of failing. Connect to your other Mac tries again quietly for 30 seconds while macOS asks for Local Network access or the other Mac is not waiting yet, and says "Waiting for MacBook Pro" meanwhile.
- No early network warning. Settings > Macs says Pacenote can't look on the network only when that lasts, not while macOS is still asking, and tries again every 2 seconds meanwhile.
