Pacenote v0.6.13

Pair your Macs with no Slack app: Todo is the same on each, and a first look works with no Slack connector yet.

brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenote

Your Macs, with no Slack app

  • Add a Mac pairs them. On a Mac that runs Todo alone, Add a Mac in Settings > Macs makes the key your Macs know each other by. A new install takes it with From your other Mac at its first run's second step, and a Mac set up already with Pair in Settings > Macs. Both show the same 6 digits before anything is sent.
  • What comes over. The key, and to a new install how Todo collects. Your Todo then stays the same on both, merged over your network with no server in between. The key is kept in macs-key, readable by you alone.
  • Pace follows only within one Slack app. Macs with your own Slack app find each other and hand Pace over as before, also with Macs on 0.6.12. Macs that only share Todo never take Pace from one another.

First run

  • No Slack connector yet? The first look says it read this Mac alone and shows your projects, instead of an error.
  • Switch when it can't no longer ends on a CLI that is not on this Mac: with no Codex here, it says why Claude Code could not.

Upgrading

  • Nothing to do. Macs paired by your Slack app stay paired, and Settings > Macs reads as before with your own Slack app.
