Pacenote v0.5.31
Set up a new Mac from the one already set up: its Slack app and who you are come over once you compare a 6-digit number, and setup reads more easily.
brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenoteA new Mac, from your other one
- Add a Mac. On the Mac already set up, Settings > Macs > Add a Mac waits 10 minutes for the new one, showing itself on your network only meanwhile.
- Connect to your other Mac. The new Mac's setup has a third way to reach Slack, beside the team hub and your own Slack app. It finds the waiting Mac on your network, or takes its address (Tailscale).
- Compare, then Allow. Both Macs show the same 6-digit number, from a key they agree on there and then. Someone in between on the network would make the numbers differ. Allow on the Mac already set up sends, encrypted, your Slack app's tokens, who Pace answers and how Todo collects, and turns on following on both.
- The rest stays this Mac's. The AI, where Pace runs, folders and ops tools are chosen on the new Mac as usual, and each Mac signs in to its AI itself. "@Pace it's me" is skipped, and starting Pace moves it to the new Mac.
Also
- Setup's lines break where they read well. No word left alone at the end of a line, titles and leads in even lines, the Slack step's three choices one under another, and long paths broken after their slashes.
