Pacenote v0.5.14
Pace answers only you. It runs on your Mac with your own Claude or ChatGPT login, so it is your assistant, not one for the whole channel: anyone else who mentions it is told so, and only they see it.
brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenoteThe upgrade quits the running app first and reopens it, once. If Pace already answered only you, nothing changes.
Who Pace answers
- One person: you. With your own Slack app, Pace takes one Slack member ID, yours, which setup fills in when you say
@Pace it's me. With an empty or longer list Pace does not start, and Settings will not save more than one. - "Anyone in the workspace" is gone. The app removes the setting as it starts. If you used it, or listed other people, Pace waits for you to say who you are: Overview leads you to setup or Settings.
- Teammates run their own Pace through your team's hub, each with their own login. A hub desktop now checks every mention itself and answers only the member it is paired as, whatever the hub sends it.
- Anyone else who mentions Pace gets "I only answer the person I work for.", which only they see. A request someone else left waiting is not taken up after a restart.
- Ops tools turn on with the team hub too, since Pace answers only you there as well.
