Pacenote v0.5.12
Pacenote sets Pace up for you: a first run opens on five steps, from the AI service on your Mac to Pace's first answer in Slack. The app also reads better, with one type scale, clearer status colors and Korean in Pretendard.
brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenoteThe upgrade quits the running app first and reopens it, once. Config, run history and your tasks are untouched, and a Pacenote already set up opens as before.
Setup
- Five steps, one window. AI service, where it runs, Slack, a review, and the first answer, with where you are on the left. Leave at any step and pick it up from Overview, or set things up in Settings instead.
- What your Mac has, first. Claude Code and Codex are found, signed in or not, before anything else, so Slack is never set up for a CLI that is not there.
- The built-in sandbox prepares from the start. Where your Mac runs it, its download and build begin as soon as setup opens and carry on while you connect Slack. Its own Claude login can wait until just before Pace starts.
- Your own Slack app, without hunting for IDs. Create it from Pacenote's manifest and paste its two tokens, checked as you type them. Then invite @Pace to a channel and say
@Pace it's me: Pacenote shows who did, and once you confirm it is you, you may ask. - The team hub pairs in setup too, and Pace starts only after the review.
- The first answer ends it. Mention Pace once, and setup is done the moment it answers.
Look
- One type scale. Text takes one of six sizes across the app, and the smallest 10px text is gone.
- Status colors you can read. Succeeded is a green of its own, apart from Pacenote's teal, and every status color reads clearly as text. In Runs, a failed, interrupted or running request shows an icon, not only a colored dot.
- Korean in Pretendard, which now comes with the app. English stays in the system font.
- Time zone follows your Mac instead of Asia/Seoul.
- Diagrams wait quietly for the built-in sandbox, instead of warning that they are off.
- With Reduce motion on, spinners hold still too.
