Pacenote v0.6.0

Pacenote reads in Korean as well as English, and Pace writes for you in your language.

brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenote

On a Mac set to Korean, the app opens in Korean after the upgrade. Settings > General > Language keeps it in English, or puts it in Korean on any Mac.

The app in Korean

  • Language follows macOS. Settings > General > Language: System (the default), English or 한국어. A change applies at once to the window, the menu bar and the tray. Pace's status and setup messages follow once Pace starts again.
  • All of it. Every screen, setup, Settings, notifications, the tray and the menu bar. Dates, times and numbers are written the Korean way, and Korean lines break between words.
  • pacenote.dev in Korean too, at pacenote.dev/ko, with a link to switch on every page.

Pace in your language

  • What Pace writes for you is in your language, whatever language the Slack messages are in: task titles and summaries, how a task ended, Looks done, Write it up, follow-ups, and what the sessions Pacenote opens say to you. Names, code and quoted words stay as they are.
  • Answers follow the request. Pace answers in the language you asked in, and in yours when the request does not show one, such as a mention with only a link.
  • Replies stay in the thread's language. A reply drafted for you to send is written for the people in the thread.
  • Pace's own notes in Slack, such as the line under each answer and the notes only the asker sees, follow the app's language. Settings > Answers > Pace's own notes can keep them in English or Korean for everyone in the channel.

Pacenote's MCP server in Claude Code or Codex learns your language from the app, so collecting tasks there writes them in it too.
