Pacenote v0.5.10

Pacenote moves with what you do: screens, Todo rows, menus and dialogs now come and go the same way everywhere, and tasks that arrive while you read wait for you. The title bar also fits macOS full screen.

brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenote

The upgrade quits the running app first and reopens it, once. Config, run history and your tasks are untouched.

Motion

  • Screens and tabs. Moving to another screen, or another Todo tab, fades the old one out and the new one in. The selected tab's pill slides to the next tab.
  • The sidebar (Cmd+B) eases to its new width. Its labels fade out before it narrows and in after it widens.
  • A Todo row unfolds in place, its content a moment behind. A run's steps and Settings groups open the same way.
  • A task you settle is pushed aside and the rows below close up, instead of vanishing.
  • Menus and tooltips slide out of what opened them, and back as they close. The folder dialog lifts in and sinks back out.
  • With Reduce motion on in macOS, nothing moves or resizes; what comes and goes only fades.

Todo

  • New tasks wait for you. Tasks a collection or an AI tool adds while you look at the list wait behind a "2 new tasks" notice on the tabs' line, so the rows you are reading stay put. Click it to show them in the list.

Window

  • Full screen. In macOS full screen, where the traffic lights hide, the sidebar toggle moves to the window's edge and lines up with the sidebar's icons, instead of leaving their room empty.
