Pacenote v0.4.6
Todo comes first, Runs keeps every job Pacenote ran, and Pace's mark shows its work where the result will appear.
brew update && brew upgrade --cask pacenoteThe upgrade quits the running app first (the bot gets up to 20 seconds to finish its requests, and the rest resume on the next start) and reopens it. Config and run history are untouched.
Todo and Runs
- The sidebar reads Overview, Todo, Runs, Pace. Tasks is called Todo now, and comes before the jobs Pacenote ran; Settings > Tasks is Settings > Todo. The AI tools you added Pacenote to keep working as they are.
- Runs lists every job: answers to mentions and task collections. It filters by kind, with the state as a select under it, and each item says what it was: a mention with its channel, a collection with what it did ("Added 2 tasks and 1 Maybe").
- A collection has a detail of its own: what it added, closed and left out, with where each task is now; its lookups in Slack, the same tool in a row grouped; the rules Pacenote gave it; and the record.
- Recent collections on Todo opens a collection's run.
- Collections are kept in the run history, as long as it keeps runs. A collection's run keeps its tool calls and what Pacenote's own tools answered, never what Slack returned or the model's own words, which quote your messages. The run history you share with AI tools leaves collections out. Collections from v0.4.4 and v0.4.5 still show.
Pace at work
- Pace's spinner now and then comes to the middle to face you and skims a few lines, and when the work ends it eases back into the logo from wherever it was.
- While Pace answers, its reply already shows on the run's timeline, with the mark as its avatar and Working shimmering; when the answer comes, the mark settles into the avatar.
- On Todo, the line under the title leads with the mark while a collection runs, and keeps the logo beside the result.
- The status bar says Collecting tasks while a collection runs, on any screen; a click opens Todo.
Other
- Check again in Settings turns the way its arrow points.
- Earlier versions cannot read the collections this one records: going back to one, its Runs screen cannot load until they age out of the run history.
